Kercsmar & O’Hara Elects Eric Hull as Member
Kercsmar & O’Hara is pleased to announce that as of January 1, 2024, Eric Hull will be elevated to a member of the firm. Licensed in both California and Arizona, Eric oversees Kercsmar & O’Hara’s Los Angeles operations while also maintaining his practice in Arizona. His efforts were instrumental in the launch of Kercsmar & O’Hara in May 2023. In addition, Eric’s relationships with clients were an important factor in elevating him to member. Clients note Eric’s ability to process high-level strategic thinking while still communicating that strategy in a way that is easy to understand.
Over the past 18 years, Eric has built a practice with a primary focus on business litigation and intellectual property. He has represented clients in all phases of the litigation process, including as lead counsel at trial and arbitration. He has extensive experience in contract disputes, corporate governance disputes, the dissolution of a businesses or separation of a partnership, and issues involving secondary liability such as vicarious liability or aiding and abetting. He has helped numerous clients work through separations and breakdowns of small and family businesses – stressful times that require an experienced advisor like Eric.
His intellectual property practice focuses on the prosecution and defense of false advertising claims under the federal Lanham Act and common law unfair competition. He has also prosecuted and defended claims in the growing area of Internet defamation law. Eric also taps into his love of independent film to work on small entertainment transactional matters, focusing on emerging voices in the industry.
